The mission of the Economic Development Committee is to work with the County on all aspects of planning, permits, infrastructure, growth and industry. Communities require planning and since we live in an unincorporated area of Eastern Madera County and there is not a local town council to create the necessary strategies for tomorrow, the Committee plays a vital role in guiding our future. The focus of the Committee is to promote economic vitality thru business attraction, retention and expansion.
Government Affairs Committee–Advocacy
The mission of the Government Affairs Committee is to provide proactive leadership in the area of governmental relations to further the mission of the Chamber and to be the voice of the businesses in Eastern Madera County and to affect policies at all levels of government to improve the business climate of our communities. The Committee will also review current and upcoming legislation activities and report to the Board if action is required.
Women in Business
A Women’s Network dedicated to helping women achieve, succeed and prosper by connecting and promoting women and their business; the Committee is dedicated to enhancing, educating and empowering its members through both personal and professional growth.
The mission of the Membership Services Committee is to review and recommend strategies, procedures, and best practices for the recruitment and retention of Chamber members. A goal is to facilitate business between members and proactively add value to every member’s association with the Chamber. The subcommittee of Ambassadors is a fun group that acts as representatives of the business community on behalf of the Chamber. They are the visible arm of the Chamber; promoting and increasing communications and member feedback. They host and participate in Chamber public relation events such as ribbon cutting ceremonies, mixers, new member’s receptions, special events, dinner meetings, the Annual Installation Dinner & Awards Ceremony and any other gatherings of the membership.
Special Events Committee
The purpose of the Special Events Committee is to develop and enhance events that highlight and support our members and contribute to the Chamber’s operating budget. This committee helps plan, promote and execute events that bring additional funds to the Chamber, and encourages member involvement.
